Decanting Time: This will be beautiful after 45 minutes to 1 hour decanted. Enjoy and please serve at 18°C.
Our suggestion for decanting time is based on bottles we tried at Txanton over 2020. We guarantee Txanton stocks are imported and maintained on a proper storage with right temperature and humidity.
Good to know: Since 1997, the task of making fine quality wines has been an obessesion for his oenologist, Mr. Antonino Izquierdo. Their vineyards in Ribera del Duero are over 40 years old and they are treated biodynamically taking advantage from long professional background on it. This wine is matured for a minimum of 16 months in french oak, going through malolactic barrels and battonage.
it offers impressive nose of very ripe black and red fruits, almost candied, black plums with hints of dark chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon, toffee and a range of roasted, low forest intermixed with balsamic aromas. It has a velvety texture, delicate and smooth in mouth but with excellent "weight" flavors of blackberries, plums, cherry cherries and strawberry, all frosted, English chocolate, mocha, cocoa and clear vanilla, hints of pipe tobacco, long and consistent with very tannins. mature, complex.
Antonino Izquierdo has become a reference among boutique wineries in Ribera del Duero and despite of his discretion in the wine industry, he is commonly known among wine connoisseurs in the region. A must try!
