Our suggestion for decanting time is based on bottles we tried at Txanton in 2023. We guarantee that Txanton stocks are imported and maintained in proper storage within the correct temperature and humidity suitable for wine.
Good to Know: VALDUERO was established in 1984 and emerged as one of the pioneering wineries contributing to the creation of the D.O Ribera del Duero.
The first generation of winemakers, namely Gregorio García Álvarez, Yolanda García Viadero, and Carolina García Viadero, carried forward the legacy of their ancestors. Their primary objective revolved around attaining a highly regarded status in both Spain and Europe as a whole.
With Gregorio being an industrial engineer, Yolanda wielding expertise in agricultural engineering and holding a Master's degree in Enology, and Carolina boasting a degree in Art History and an MBA, these individuals formed an impeccably coordinated team. Their collective efforts initiated an enduring and triumphant journey that resulted in numerous international accolades and substantial recognition for their wines, positioning the winery among the top ten establishments in Europe.
The Bodegas Valduero 6 Anos 'Valduero' Reserva Premium undergoes a meticulous aging process for 6 years, both in barrels and bottles, with special care taken during its patient aging in our ancient caves. This exceptional wine is only crafted during outstanding vintages and is made using a completely artisanal harvest, where the bunches are selected in the vineyard. It then matures for 3 years in oak barrels from 4 different origins, within the serene atmosphere of our underground caves.
Tasting Notes: Yolanda García Viadero has skillfully demonstrated in this wine, the Bodegas Valduero 6 Anos 'Valduero' Reserva Premium, that power and elegance can coexist harmoniously in a Ribera del Duero wine. With its deep, intense garnet color and inviting aromas of toffee and hints of cedar wood, this wine offers a complex and all-encompassing experience on the palate. It is bold, robust, and undeniably captivating, leaving a long and lingering aftertaste that will surely be etched in one's memory. This wine is truly remarkable. For optimal enjoyment, it is recommended to serve at a temperature between 14ºC and 18ºC.

Food was above average although can still be improved. We had the pork ribs, spicy sausage, pork croquet, and fish triperones(?).
