The location is special as it has a natural supply of water from its underground ancient riverbeds. This allows the grapevines to develop deeper roots. The place itself has a natural microclimate perfect for the conditions of the crops ideal for winemaking.

Othello, a delightful wine crafted from grapes grown in the renowned Napanook vineyard in Yountville, California, truly captures the essence of its exceptional terroir. It not only appeals to the younger palate but is also incredibly approachable and easy to enjoy.

Dominus Estate Othello 2016 is a refined Bordeaux-style red blend from the historic Napanook vineyard in Yountville, Napa Valley, created by Christian Moueix’s team. Made primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon with Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, it reflects the vineyard's gravelly and clay-loam soils and benefits from sustainable, dry-farming practices. The wine shows a deep ruby hue and opens with expressive aromas of cherries, cassis, violets, mocha, mint, and graphite. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with smooth, polished tannins and vibrant acidity, offering layers of blackberries, morello cherry, cedar, vanilla, and subtle herbal and chocolate notes. The finish is long and elegant, with a touch of minerality. While enjoyable now with decanting, it has excellent aging potential and pairs well with beef, lamb, game, or poultry.
