Good to know: Finca La Barca is a premium Spanish food brand renowned for its specialty smoked ingredients, most notably its limited-edition smoked extra virgin olive oil. Developed by the Oliva family, who are also the artisan producers behind the globally recognized La Chinata Pimentón de la Vera paprika brand, the oil is crafted exclusively from 100% Arbequina olives harvested from a single family estate in the Toledo region of Spain. Following the initial cold pressing, the naturally delicate and fruity olive oil is transported to Plasencia in the La Vera region of Extremadura. There, it undergoes a traditional 15-day smoking process over holm oak wood fires inside the exact same historic chambers utilized for drying DOP-regulated paprika peppers. This slow, meticulous method infuses the oil with a deep, complex smoky aroma while preserving the characteristic low bitterness and smooth, fresh grass notes intrinsic to the Arbequina olive variety. Reflecting its highly controlled and limited annual production, each distinctive glass bottle is individually numbered, outfitted with a built-in pourer, and hand-sealed with traditional colored wax. Beyond its flagship smoked olive oil, the Finca La Barca portfolio has expanded to include a specialized range of smoked gourmet condiments, such as authentic La Vera smoked paprika, smoked Himalayan salt flakes, smoked hot sauces, and an oak-smoked alioli, all engineered primarily as premium finishing elements to enhance grilled meats, seafood, vegetables, and traditional Spanish rice dishes.

Kat WynnTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great wine bar. They offer a wide selection of wine & the tapas are delicious. I didn't think I'd enjoy bread with olive oil as much as I did! Gambas, patè & croquettes were also delicious. We went at around 2pm and it was quiet - we just wanted something light and available. I believe they offer a variety of meats that has to be pre ordered? We would love to come back. Also, very good service. Peter LacTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Txanton offers a focused and authentic take on Spanish dining, grounded in its role as a jamonería and its clear respect for quality produce and tradition. At the heart of the menu is the jamón. The jamón tasting menu is particularly impressive, presenting six different varieties that span the full spectrum of cured ham, each one expertly prepared and deeply flavourful. The supporting dishes are equally strong, including excellent gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimps), a rich and comforting arroz cremoso con frutos de mar (seafood creamy rice), and bold chorizo picante a la brasa (spicy chorizo) with smoky depth. Dessert is distinctive and well judged, with the crema de queso (cream cheese) paired beautifully with PX wine, raisins, and a Tempranillo cookie. Service is relaxed and courteous, with staff providing thoughtful recommendations and attentive care throughout. The setting is welcoming and unpretentious, echoing the atmosphere of a traditional Spanish dining room - ideal for sharing plates, conversation, and good wine. Txanton succeeds in delivering a genuine Spanish experience, excelling in its jamón while offering a consistently well-executed menu.
