Our suggestion for decanting time is based on bottles we tried at Txanton in 2024. We guarantee that Txanton stocks are imported and maintained in proper storage within the correct temperature and humidity suitable for wine.
Good to Know: This special wine from the winery is the pride and joy of the Rabajà vineyard. Made only in the best years, it showcases the complexity and long-lasting qualities of the Nebbiolo grape.
Made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, this wine comes from a small section of the Rabajà area in Barbaresco. The vineyard sits at an altitude of 235 to 315 meters above sea level, with soil rich in minerals and nutrients. The vines are around 70 years old, planted with a density of 4,000 vines per hectare.
With a yield of 60 quintals per hectare, approximately 6,000 bottles of this wine are produced. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo fermentation for about 35 days in stainless steel and old cement tanks.
After fermentation, the wine ages for 40 months in Slavonian oak barrels of varying sizes and ages. It is then aged for a minimum of 3 years in the bottle. Enjoy the structure, elegance, and evolution of this exceptional wine from the Rabajà vineyard!
This wine is a selection from a small part of Rabaja and is only made in the best, classic years. it has a considerable structure, elegance and great capacity for evolution.
