Intense gold colour, with green hues. Filtered. In nose, its intense, fruity, wide and powerful, notes of tomato, apple and banana. Also almonds and mind touches in less intensity. Very complex and well balanced. In mouth it has soft entrance with vegetable notes of lettuce and almonds. Good balance between bitterness and spiciness. Piquant flavours are present and appear late on the throat, this will depend on the aftertaste.

Rafael Alonso Aguilera, coming from a family of traditional farmers, having dedicated himself to other things in his life, decides to start working in agriculture fully in 1995, and that's when he took over the family farm inherited from his ancestors. Almond trees, vines and olive trees have been located in this farm since time immemorial, opting to convert most of the land into an organic olive grove.
The choice of this cultivation philosophy is not by chance, but as a continuation of the work carried out by his ancestors, who always cultivated the land in a traditional way without using synthetic inputs.

The dream of this small company was to make their own extra virgin olive oil and market it under their own brand in order to obtain a high quality product and added value. Finally they decided to acquire an old oil mill that dated back to 1925, which was unique in Almería and had been abandoned since the 1970s.

Great wine bar. They offer a wide selection of wine & the tapas are delicious. I didn't think I'd enjoy bread with olive oil as much as I did! Gambas, patè & croquettes were also delicious. We went at around 2pm and it was quiet - we just wanted something light and available. I believe they offer a variety of meats that has to be pre ordered? We would love to come back. Also, very good service.

Txanton offers a focused and authentic take on Spanish dining, grounded in its role as a jamonería and its clear respect for quality produce and tradition. At the heart of the menu is the jamón. The jamón tasting menu is particularly impressive, presenting six different varieties that span the full spectrum of cured ham, each one expertly prepared and deeply flavourful. The supporting dishes are equally strong, including excellent gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimps), a rich and comforting arroz cremoso con frutos de mar (seafood creamy rice), and bold chorizo picante a la brasa (spicy chorizo) with smoky depth. Dessert is distinctive and well judged, with the crema de queso (cream cheese) paired beautifully with PX wine, raisins, and a Tempranillo cookie. Service is relaxed and courteous, with staff providing thoughtful recommendations and attentive care throughout. The setting is welcoming and unpretentious, echoing the atmosphere of a traditional Spanish dining room - ideal for sharing plates, conversation, and good wine. Txanton succeeds in delivering a genuine Spanish experience, excelling in its jamón while offering a consistently well-executed menu.
