Good to know: Txanton 150 Acorns Gin recipe worked with 12 fragrant botanicals but the highlight come from the Castro y Gonzalez acorns and the premium Arbequina extra virgin olive oil from Oro del Desierto, Gin made on the historical 150-years since Paulino Txanton Aboitiz came to the Philippines.
From a flavor profile, the recipe offers a strong juniper and coriander base, earthier / herbal notes of angelica seeds, licorice root, orris root and the Arbequina extra virgin olive oil, spice and bite in the form of fresh local ginger, citrus sweetness from fresh oranges, and hints of fresh rosemary. The 150 acorns bring the spirit together with a wonderful almost creamy nuttiness that evokes the finest dehesas in Spain.
Txanton 150 Acorns Gin will pair nicely with a charcuterie board of Jamon Iberico and a big range of cheeses, and as a delicious, handcrafted artisanal gin in a variety of cocktails like "Txanton Gin Tonic" (60ml Txanton 150 Acorns Gin / 120ml Fentimen's indian tonic water / garnish with orange peel and juniper berries), "Txanton Martini" (60ml Txanton 150 Acorns Gin / 30ml Cocchi americano bianco / 2 dashes Peychaud's bittlers / Garnish with a Lemon Peel or Green Olives) and "Txanton Americano" (30ml Txanton 150 Acorns Gin / 15ml dry vermouth / 15ml Campari / top with sparkling bru or soda water / garnish with orange peel).
Literature on the Bottle:
This gin was made in honor of Paulino Txanton Aboitiz’s 150 years of legacy. A Basque mariner from Ispaster (Vizcaya), raised in the caserio - Txanton Torre. With his ancestor Antonio’s name, he left in 1871 to start a life in the Philippines.
A mix of exotic botanicals, EVOO Arbequina by Oro del Desierto and 150 acorns selected by Castro y Gonzalez from their best “dehesa” in Guijuelo, Spain! Home of the world’s finest Jamon!
Salud!

Nice and quiet for intimate family or friend get together. JonathanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ambiance and service were to notch. It was a weekday when we went there so it was not crowded. The interiors were nicely done and an ideal for place to have a good discussion. We love the caviar bar and their cocktail offerings. Food was above average although can still be improved. We had the pork ribs, spicy sausage, pork croquet, and fish triperones(?).
