Good to know: As one of the leading biodynamic wine specialists in Burgundy, combined with the expertise of winemaker Eric Germain, Domaine Vincent Girardin makes use of indigenous yeast during the fermentation process of their wines. Winemaking additives were discontinued, as were herbicides and insecticides. They also harvest grapes earlier than intended in order to ensure balance and avoiding over ripening. The use of new oak has been strictly limited, focusing more on the length the wines are stored in the barrel. This allows the wines to develop a more delicate and subtle complexity and elegance.

Vincent Girardin's Bourgogne Blanc Cuvee Saint-Vincent is a great Burgundy white to introduce newcomers to the region's style or for veteran winos who want to re-experience Burgundian Chardonnay at its purer and more basic form. An aromatic wine with fruity, floral notes and a lot of delicacies in the mouth. Lots of freshness and minerality.

A prestigious domaine based in Mersault, Domaine Vincent Girardin is highly regarded for the creation of some of the best biodynamic wines in Burgundy today. Having inherited five acres of vines from his parents, whose family goes back to the 17th Century in Burgundy, 19-year-old Vincent Girardin, went out on his own in 1980 to produce the best grapes he could find in Côte de Beaune. In 2001, he shifted his focus on the purity and elegance of his wines rather than the concentrated and heavily extracted styles in the 90's. This eventually led to the revolution on the style of wines being produced in the region.

The Vincent Girardin Bourgogne Blanc Cuvée Saint-Vincent 2024 captures the essence of a standout, classically styled Burgundian white vintage celebrated for its crystalline purity, electric tension, and vibrant freshness. Sourced from 50-year-old vines across prime parcels in the Côte de Beaune, this release showcases the domain’s signature precision in a cooler, highly energetic growing year. Raised with gentle lees contact in French oak barrels, Girardin’s disciplined winemaking strikes a sublime harmony between natural fruit concentration and bright, cool-climate focus, resulting in a wine that punches well above its regional classification.

Distinguished across vintages by its refined balance and generous depth, Cuvée Saint-Vincent opens with an alluring bouquet of white peach, citrus blossom, crisp orchard fruit, and a subtle touch of toasted oak. On the palate, a supple, creamy texture is brightened by racy minerality and a clean, persistent finish. To complement its textural elegance and vibrant acidity, pair this expressive Chardonnay with classic Poulet à la Moutarde, herb-roasted poultry, pan-seared sea scallops, or a savory wild mushroom tart. It is equally delightful alongside creamy soft cheeses or grilled white fish.
