Paride Iaretti Gattinara Riserva 2018 is a classic, age-worthy expression of Nebbiolo from the volcanic-porphyry soils of Gattinara. Made from 40-year-old vines, the wine undergoes a 30-day maceration with manual extraction, followed by natural malolactic fermentation in stainless steel. It is then aged for 12 months in tonneaux and 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. In the glass, it shows a garnet-red color with orange reflections and opens with layered aromas of rose, violet, dried figs, red berries, licorice, and spice. On the palate, it is warm and dry, with firm yet elegant tannins, bright acidity, and a long, savory finish marked by mineral undertones. This Riserva captures the soul of Gattinara and is built to evolve beautifully over 15 years or more.
