Good To Know: Giacomo Fenocchio is based in Barolo, in Piedmonte region of Italy. It is a family cared for vineyard passed down from five generations. Now, the current estate is owned and ran by Claudio Fenocchio with his brothers and house winemaker. Making sure to not only maintain but also improve the quality.

Giacomo Fenocchio Barolo Bussia Riserva “90 di” 2018 is a masterfully crafted expression from the historic Bussia cru, made using a traditional 90-day submerged cap maceration to enhance structure and depth. Produced from 100% Nebbiolo grown on iron-rich soils, the wine is aged for four years in large Slavonian oak casks before bottling, resulting in a Barolo of impressive complexity and aging potential. It reveals a captivating bouquet of dried rose, truffle, tobacco, and red berries, followed by a full yet refined palate layered with cherry, spice, herbs, and mineral notes. Silky tannins and fresh acidity lend remarkable balance, making it ideal for cellaring, with a drinking window stretching into the 2040s. This limited Riserva highlights the purity and power of traditional Barolo winemaking at its finest.
