Date company was established: 1999

Ratings: Gold Medal Olive Japan (2017)
Serving: Try it always in low temperature to keep its properties. Better for cold use as it’s a variety quite soft and fruity, and it doesn’t resist the high temperatures as well as other types. This Olive Oil goes perfect for many foods but also good for desserts and even some orange slices with honey!
Good to know: Oro del Desierto Arbequina comes from Single estate and its limited production Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, produced exclusively from arbequina olives from early harvest in “El Vicario” estates. Olive grows between 3 and 15 years, planted in 7 x 5m with drip irrigation system. Harvest: From half of October to early November and 75-80% still green.
Intense gold colour, with green hues. Filtered. I nose, its medium/soft fruity, fresh aroma of almonds and other fruits medium ripe, very harmonic and balanced. In mouth, its soft and has a pleasant enter, absence of bitterness, and slight spiciness and piquant sensation with vegetal hints. Persistent and nice back taste.
The dream of this small company was to make their own extra virgin olive oil and market it under their own brand in order to obtain a high quality product and added value. Finally they decided to acquire an old oil mill that dated back to 1925, which was unique in Almería and had been abandoned since the 1970s.
