Good to know: Chateau Peby Faugeres is located within the property of Chateau Faugeres. It is treated as a separate entity and was classified as Grand Clu Classes in 2012. It's vineyard is primarily planted with Merlot. The 2005 vintage was scored 100 pts by Robert Parker.
The 2016 is another strong vintage for the Le Merle de Peby Faugeres, the chateau's second wine. Best enjoyed young, but can further develop with some cellaring. Rich, luscious red fruits exhibit themselves on the wine's bouquet followed by slight nuances of chalky minerality and hints of herb. The wine also shows some influence from oak with notes of vanilla and hints of leather. The wine is medium bodied with velvety tannins that round out its generous finish.
Both Chateau Faugeres and Chateau Peby Faugeres were once owned by Pierre-Bernard (Péby) Guisez and his wife, Corrine. Upon Peby's death, it was eventually sold to Silvio Denz, a Swiss businessman who owns several companies including a few vineyards namely Château Cap de Faugères in AOC Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux, Château Rocheyron in Saint Emilion Grand Cru, Montepeloso in Italy, Clos d´Agon in Spain.

Nice and quiet for intimate family or friend get together. JonathanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ambiance and service were to notch. It was a weekday when we went there so it was not crowded. The interiors were nicely done and an ideal for place to have a good discussion. We love the caviar bar and their cocktail offerings. Food was above average although can still be improved. We had the pork ribs, spicy sausage, pork croquet, and fish triperones(?).
