Founded in the early 1900s by Symphorien Chevillon, the domaine has been carefully expanded and refined through generations of family dedication. From Eugène-François' post-war stewardship to Maurice’s acquisitions of Premier Cru plots, and eventually to Robert, Denis, and Bertrand Chevillon, each generation has contributed to its growth and reputation. Today, brothers Denis and Bertrand carry on the family’s passion, crafting wines celebrated worldwide for their finesse, complexity, and deep expression of Burgundy’s unique terroir.

Domaine Robert Chevillon Bourgogne Rouge 2021 is a beautifully crafted Pinot Noir from vines just outside Nuits-Saint-Georges, near the estate's Premier Cru holdings. Made by brothers Denis and Bertrand Chevillon, this wine showcases the estate’s signature elegance and finesse. Aged for 15–18 months in oak (30% new), it offers a vibrant nose of red berries, spice, and earthy undertones. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied with fresh acidity, soft tannins, and a refined, silky texture. Though labeled as Bourgogne, its depth and complexity rival many village-level wines, making it an outstanding value for lovers of classic Burgundy.

Domaine Robert Chevillon Bourgogne Rouge pairs beautifully with a wide range of dishes, thanks to its balanced structure and bright, nuanced flavors. I first visited without notice to scout the venue for a business meeting, and they kindly showed me around. This time, I returned for a private dinner.

Communication via WhatsApp was seamless and friendly, allowing us to pre-order the Gambas al Ajillo and Cochinillo. The Gambas was cooked to perfection with amazing flavor, and the Cochinillo was a masterpiece—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside.
