Good to Know: Domaine Hubert Lamy started in 1973 but developed greatly in the 1990s. Formerly, Pinot Noir were present in the vineyard but it has been replanted with Chardonnay as decided by Hubert Lamy.

Only a small quantity remains of one of star grower Olivier Lamy's village Puligny-Montrachet cuvées from the limited 0.9ha vineyard of 'Les Tremblots'. Some vines in this vineyard were planted just after the Second World War. The wine showcases the quality and style expected from this esteemed domain, with a remarkable purity of fruit, nervosity, and minerality. It is expected to develop superbly over the next five years, if not longer.

Domaine Hubert Lamy Puligny-Montrachet Les Tremblots Vieilles Vignes 2022 is a refined expression of Chardonnay crafted from old vines planted in 1946 and 1970 on clay-limestone soils in the village-level vineyard of Les Tremblots. Olivier Lamy, known for his precision and innovation, brings out remarkable tension and clarity in this wine. The 2022 vintage offers layered aromas of citrus, pear, and spiced tea, with a vibrant, textured palate and a long, balanced finish. Highly rated by critics and wine enthusiasts alike—with scores reaching up to 93 points—it shows excellent aging potential through 2045, while still being approachable in its youth. A true standout in Puligny-Montrachet, it pairs beautifully with shellfish, rich fish, and delicate white meats.

I first visited without notice to scout the venue for a business meeting, and they kindly showed me around. This time, I returned for a private dinner.

Communication via WhatsApp was seamless and friendly, allowing us to pre-order the Gambas al Ajillo and Cochinillo. The Gambas was cooked to perfection with amazing flavor, and the Cochinillo was a masterpiece—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside.
