Our suggestion for decanting time is based on bottles we tried at Txanton in 2025. We guarantee that Txanton stocks are imported and maintained in proper storage within the correct temperature and humidity suitable for wine.
Good to Know: Laurent Ponsot is a fourth-generation Burgundian winemaker who, after over 35 years leading his family's famed domaine in Morey-Saint-Denis, established his own estate in 2015 in Gilly-lès-Cîteaux alongside his son Clément. His new venture blends estate-grown fruit with a high-end négociant model, sourcing from trusted growers across 26 appellations to craft a broad portfolio of village, Premier Cru, and Grand Cru wines. Guided by a philosophy of minimal intervention and terroir transparency, Ponsot avoids chemicals, new oak, and heavy sulfur, while embracing cutting-edge innovations like NFC capsules, oxygen-sensitive closures, and temperature-tracking shipping cases.
