Decanting Time: decant for 30-45 minutes and serve at 18°C. It has 8 to 10 years potential storage in optimal conditions (14ºC and 60% relative humidity).

Our suggestion for decanting time is based on bottles we tried at Txanton over 2024. We guarantee Txanton stocks are imported and maintained on a proper storage with right temperature and humidity.

Good to know: this wine has the temperament and personality of its makers. It is the most emblematic winery's wine and reflects the pure style and character of Viña Pedrosa.

Intense cherry red with purple rims in color. Suggestive and very expressive on the nose, aromas of berries stand out along with delicate aromas of maturation (vanilla, balsamic, coffee and toffee). On the palate, it is broad, with nerve, elegance and succulent tannins.

The average age of the vineyard is 35 years and its matured for 18 months in American and French oak barrels. The resting in bottle is minimum of 6 months.

Viña Pedrosa’s story begins with Mauro Pérez and the lands that he loved and worked on throughout his life. He was a hard-working and innately intelligent man who taught his children to respect the land and take pride in their work. Today, the winery is on the vineyards that he left to his family, in Pedrosa de Duero, in the Spanish province of Burgos.

Viña Pedrosa is a world-renowned venture involving two generations of enthusiastic wine connoisseurs who gave and keep giving their best for transforming the fruits of the earth into the best possible wine. Extreme elevation, shallow, limestone-rich clay soils, low rainfall and a large diurnal temperature range during the grape ripening months are all key to achieving top quality grapes.

Thanks to the family vineyard’s outstanding characteristics and size (120 HA), it is one of the few self-sufficient wineries in the Ribera del Duero with an average annual production worth 600,000 bottles.
