Laurent Ponsot’s Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru “Cuvée du Kalimeris” 2022 is an elegant and expressive Chardonnay crafted from a dozen parcels across Aloxe-Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses, and Ladoix-Serrigny on the Montagne de Corton. Bottled at 13.5%, it presents a pale lemon hue and a refined bouquet of energetic white fruit, biscuit, cream, and flinty minerality. The palate is medium-bodied and precise, with vibrant acidity, layered structure, and a long, mineral-driven finish. Combining restrained oak use with terroir clarity, this wine captures the classic finesse of Corton-Charlemagne and is poised to age gracefully through the next decade.

I first visited without notice to scout the venue for a business meeting, and they kindly showed me around. This time, I returned for a private dinner.

Communication via WhatsApp was seamless and friendly, allowing us to pre-order the Gambas al Ajillo and Cochinillo. The Gambas was cooked to perfection with amazing flavor, and the Cochinillo was a masterpiece—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside.
