Our suggestion for decanting time is based on bottles we tried at Txanton in 2023. We guarantee that Txanton stocks are imported and maintained in proper storage within the correct temperature and humidity suitable for wine.

Good to Know: The estate was first established in the middle of the nineteenth century, but Amédée Merme spent much of the first decade of the 20th century organizing and growing the vineyard. Together with his son Armand, they worked to make high-quality wines in order to protect the estate's reputation in France and elsewhere. Marie-France Merme and her husband Henri Perrot-Minot carried on her father Armand's work in the 1970s. The estate was renamed Perrot-Minot after Marie-France and Henri took over management following Armand's passing.

After seven years as a wine dealer, their son, Christophe Perrot-Minot, joined the estate and became manager in 1993. His past expertise had given him an in-depth understanding and true command of wine cultivation.
The Domaine Perrot-Minot La Richemone Vieilles Vignes is the ultra cuvee of Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier cru (La Richemone) comes from the plot's southern half was planted in 1902. This plot depicts a distinct plant capital as well as a unique soil made out of pebbles that promotes excellent drainage and rooting depth as well as a clay-limestone soil. The richness of this soil produces a well-rounded wine with outstanding freshness. Spice aromas and smooth tannins emerge. The other side of the land, with additional stones, provides the wine with a high mineral concentration and a strong fragrance. The wine capture the essence and authenticity of their terroir. They are the outcome of meticulous labor based on empirical soil observations and the intuition of a committed winemaker.
