Good To Know: Tenute Guardasole is a winery that includes three plots of land with a total surface of 2 hectares that yields Nebbiolo and Vespolina grape varieties. The vineyards were planted back in 1800-1900 with different grape types at the time however, the land has experienced an abandonment. In 2009, the vineyard was revived and new grapes were reintroduced - the Nebbiolo and Vespolina.
The Tenute Guardasole winery does not use herbicides. They tend to the vineyard well and only cut up grass when necessary. Only organic animal and vegetable fertilizers are used along with sea limestone to adjust the Ph level. It is a very eco-friendly way of handling the plants due to the minimal plant waste and number of treatments needed to maintain the plants.
