Good to know: In the appellation of Saint-Julien in France, The Leoville’s first growth dates back to 1638 with the care of the family and their legacy. The second Grand Clu Classe in 1855: Château Léoville Poyferré was established in 1840 when Baron Jean-Marie de Poyferre added his name to Leoville.
Château Léoville Poyferré made sure that they maintain a natural balance, taking care of nature which provides for their winemaking needs. They integrated the Environmental Management System for Bordeaux wine in 2016 which lead them to obtain the High Environmental Value – Level 3 (the highest level) since 2017.
Indulge your senses with the exquisite Chateau Leoville Poyferre 2010. This wine boasts a dark, almost black robe and a rich and complex aroma of fresh fruits, cedar, and spice. On the palate, it offers a bold and fleshy taste with a surprising intensity. The mid-palate is dense and powerful, showcasing the elegant tannins.
The finish of this exceptional 2010 vintage is long and perfectly balanced, reflecting the complexity and purity of the wine. The sunny weather of this year, reminiscent of 2009, combined with lower temperatures, resulted in a wine that embodies the classicism of 2008 and the power of 2005.
The innovative vinification process of the Grand Vin, with new double-wall truncated cone shaped vats, ensures a meticulous plot-by-plot production. The pre-fermentary cold maceration enhances the aromatic intensity and quality of tannins, particularly bringing out the purity of the Cabernet Sauvignon fruit. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the exceptional craftsmanship and quality of Chateau Leoville Poyferre 2010.

Kat WynnTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great wine bar. They offer a wide selection of wine & the tapas are delicious. I didn't think I'd enjoy bread with olive oil as much as I did! Gambas, patè & croquettes were also delicious. We went at around 2pm and it was quiet - we just wanted something light and available. I believe they offer a variety of meats that has to be pre ordered? We would love to come back. Also, very good service. Peter LacTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Txanton offers a focused and authentic take on Spanish dining, grounded in its role as a jamonería and its clear respect for quality produce and tradition. At the heart of the menu is the jamón. The jamón tasting menu is particularly impressive, presenting six different varieties that span the full spectrum of cured ham, each one expertly prepared and deeply flavourful. The supporting dishes are equally strong, including excellent gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimps), a rich and comforting arroz cremoso con frutos de mar (seafood creamy rice), and bold chorizo picante a la brasa (spicy chorizo) with smoky depth. Dessert is distinctive and well judged, with the crema de queso (cream cheese) paired beautifully with PX wine, raisins, and a Tempranillo cookie. Service is relaxed and courteous, with staff providing thoughtful recommendations and attentive care throughout. The setting is welcoming and unpretentious, echoing the atmosphere of a traditional Spanish dining room - ideal for sharing plates, conversation, and good wine. Txanton succeeds in delivering a genuine Spanish experience, excelling in its jamón while offering a consistently well-executed menu.
