Good to Know: The estate was first established in the middle of the nineteenth century, but Amédée Merme spent much of the first decade of the 20th century organizing and growing the vineyard. Together with his son Armand, they worked to make high-quality wines in order to protect the estate's reputation in France and elsewhere. Marie-France Merme and her husband Henri Perrot-Minot carried on her father Armand's work in the 1970s. The estate was renamed Perrot-Minot after Marie-France and Henri took over management following Armand's passing.

After seven years as a wine dealer, their son, Christophe Perrot-Minot, joined the estate and became manager in 1993. His past expertise had given him an in-depth understanding and true command of wine cultivation.

The Domaine Perrot-Minot Chambolle Musginy Orveaux des Bussieres Vieilles Vignes came from vines of 100 years of age. The presence of substantial marl and clay in this soil promotes profound rooting. The plot is situated in the northern region of Chambolle Musigny. Given the composition of its soil and its considerable age, this plot is characterized by intricate aromas and a rich texture.

The 2020 Domaine Perrot-Minot Chambolle-Musigny "Orveaux des Bussières" Vieilles Vignes is crafted from a tiny 0.6-hectare plot planted with old vines, some over 100 years old, situated in the northern part of Chambolle-Musigny on clay-marl soils. The wine is a blend of fruit from Combe d’Orveau and the ancient Bussières parcel, delivering a refined expression of the terroir. It opens with an aromatic bouquet of violet, lavender, and red currant, while the palate is medium-bodied, silky, and vibrant, framed by fine-grained tannins and a persistent, mineral-driven finish. This cuvée exemplifies Perrot-Minot’s signature style of elegance, energy, and purity, offering a graceful and terroir-focused take on Chambolle-Musigny.
